Food Safety After a Power Outage

If you lost power during Hurricane Michael, make sure your food is still safe before eating it or serving it to others.

When in doubt, throw it out!

Throw away any food that has been exposed to temperatures 40 degrees or higher for 2 hours or more, or that has an unusual odor, color, or texture.
